Inner Rotor Ignitions are used when normal Ignitions fail. From an engine speed of approx. 10,000 rpm, most original Stator Plates emit a fluctuating ignition voltage. The result is a loss of power in the upper speed range. It is not uncommon for coils to burn out and for the Ignition System to fail completely. Another disadvantage of the original ignition is the fixed ignition timing; hardly any Racing Cylinder can be perfectly tuned with the original ignition. For this reason, MALOSSI has opted for a radical solution to the problem, i.e. an ignition with an internal rotor and a Control Unit with ignition advance, which ensures constant performance even at over 20,000 rpm and thus solves all the problems associated with the original ignition.
The 2011 version of the MALOSSI Inner Rotor Ignition is now again supplied with an electronic CDI with ignition advance. Compared to other similar Ignition Systems, the Malossi Inner Rotor Ignition adjusts digitally to the increasing engine speed in the range of 34° to 2° from TDC.
Inner Rotor Ignition MALOSSI 2011
variably adjustable Ignition System, stator ignition system up to over 20,000 rpm, very small and light internal rotor Ø58mm, constantly higher performance over the entire speed range, better pick-up due to weight saving (no Flywheel!), automatic ignition advance (34° to 2° from TDC), extremely high performance, including Digitronic Eprom Ignition Coil with microprocessor (STM8)
ATTENTION: This ignition system excludes the electrical system! Lighting no longer works!
