Contrast Spring from MALOSSI and POLINI for the Variator to optimize the shifting behavior in the driven converter unit.

An often underestimated factor in Variomatic tuning is the Contrast Spring in the driven torque converter unit. It generates the counter-pressure on the rear Driven Pulley (Speed Drive/Torque Drive) and thus directly influences the "shifting behavior" of the Variomatic. If the Belt slips easily, the engine speed constantly fluctuates when accelerating or the Engine does not reach the power speed cleanly despite roller set tuning, a suitable Variator Spring can help. After installation, variator rollers and, if necessary, Clutch Springs must be adjusted again - this is the only way to ensure that the overall system is really optimally tuned.
