Clutch Springs from MALOSSI - 3 spring strengths for tuning the clutch engagement speed
Clutch Springs are a useful addition to almost any tuning, especially in combination with a sports or racing exhaust system. High-quality Springs are crucial here: Tearing Clutch Springs can lead to uncontrolled engagement - a risk that can be significantly reduced with tested quality.
Clutch Springs can be used to specifically influence the clutch engagement speed. Above a certain speed, the centrifugal force pushes the Clutch Shoe outwards so that it engages in the Clutch Bell and transmits power to the transmission. Harder Springs delay this opening, and the clutch only engages at higher engine speeds - this makes starting off more aggressive and more rev-accentuated.
The kit consists of three sets of springs of different strengths (different colors) and is suitable for the original clutch. Ideal for adjusting the clutch speed, e.g. when using a tuning exhaust system.
TECHNICAL TIP:
The spring hardness (thickness of the spring wire) can be used to control the frictional connection: thicker wire = harder Springs. With harder Springs, the Clutch only engages at higher engine speeds, allowing the Engine to develop more traction when moving off. Intermittent clutch judder in city traffic can also be caused by abrasion in the Clutch Bell - in this case, Cleaner helps, preferably with Brake Cleaner.
SIP TIP:
Include a new clutch nut and suitable clutch holding tools.
