Torx or hexagon socket screw heads offer the possibility of being tightened with a high torque.

They wear much more slowly than conventional hexagon socket Screws and have therefore found widespread use in modern industry. Multiple opening and locking is no problem; there are hardly any spinning wrenches.

Examples of common tightening torques:

• M5: 5 - 8 Nm
• M6: 10 - 14 Nm
• M7: 15 - 18 Nm
• M8: 25 - 28 Nm

Note: When fastening safety-relevant parts, e.g. Brake Disc: Use threadlocker, e.g. trade name Loctite.
