Adjusting Screw for cables of classic scooters, in all common sizes and designs.
The functions of classic Vespa and Lambretta scooters - such as the clutch, gears or brakes - are operated via cables. Due to the frame design and the Engine positioned far to the rear, these cables are usually relatively long and should therefore always be carefully maintained and precisely adjusted.
- All common versions available
- Dimensionally accurate original replacement
- Optimum function
Clutch and Brake Pads are subject to natural wear, and cables can settle or become slightly longer after installation. All these factors influence the Game of the Levers, which control the most important functions of the Engine and Brakes. Adjusting Screws are therefore fitted to the abutments of the Cable to precisely readjust the play.
Over the years, these adjusting screws can wear out: they break, corrode or their threads become deformed due to dirt or force. In such cases, a replacement is required. All common - and numerous other - variants of these Adjusting Screws are available in order to adjust Cable correctly and ensure optimum function.
Important: Make sure you have the right Lock Nut; not all manufacturers supply them.
The SIP Adjusting Screws
Numerous different Adjusting Screws were originally installed. They differ in thread, length, diameter, width across flats and other details. Some variants are only available today with small deviations from the original - such as the Clutch Adjusting Screw on many models, which was originally 30 mm instead of 20 mm long. Adjusting Screws that are hardly available in their original form or are only offered in insufficient quality are therefore reproduced. The SIP Adjusting Screws are produced in high quality and with exact dimensional accuracy.
Conclusion: A small component - but crucial for precise, reliable and comfortable operation of the scooter.
The best setup - our SIP-TIP:
- Our SIP Performance cable sets are the ideal complement.
- With the SIP Switch and Throttle Pulleys, the scooters can be moved faster and more crisply
- Worn-out levers also cause Game in the Cable mechanism. We recommend checking these and replacing them if necessary.
