Product description

Condensers are an important component of the breaker-type ignition system and protect the ignition contacts from excessive wear.

The Condenser is connected in parallel with the Contact Breaker and serves to minimize wear on the ignition contacts, which are actuated by the rotational movement of the Crankshaft. As mileage increases, so-called “contact erosion” occurs at the contact surface, causing the surface to wear down. This results in a weaker, reddish ignition spark before the Ignition system finally fails.

We carry the original condensers from the Italian manufacturer EFFE and have suitable condensers in stock for nearly all Vespa and Lambretta models. Most PIAGGIO condensers for older Vespas also come from EFFE.

CEAB supplies reinforced condensers and promises higher-quality materials. The ground wires are additionally soldered for better grounding and ensure a secure, consistent connection. The resin coating guarantees optimal insulation.

The condensers are exceptionally precise, deliver reliable performance, and solve the problems associated with traditional condensers.

Condensers differ in their mounting type—with mounting (mB) or without mounting (oB)—as well as in the number of wires, dimensions, and capacitance (µF).

Conclusion: A condenser should be replaced regularly and belongs in every glove compartment as a spare part.

These products are a perfect fit – SIP TIPS:

  • Replacing the Condenser in a timely manner prevents further unnecessary costs. If the Condenser has been defective for some time, the Contact Breaker should also be replaced.
