We have the original Hella handlebar tip indicator in our program that was an original part for many old Vespas. The bull eye blinker comes out of the custom corner and Harley section. The blinker “Street” (the name has been changed for patent reasons) can be mounted on the handlebar tips or on the chassis.
only one piece. If you need a pair, please order 2.
For Vespa models that come standard with handlebar-end indicators —such as the Sprint and Rally models—retrofitting is generally straightforward. The indicators must not rotate along with the throttle or Gear Tube. They are therefore mounted in matching Inner Tubes, inserted into the throttle and Gear Tubes, and secured in the Steering Head. The throttle and Gear Tubes then rotate around the outside of the Indicator Tube. The Inner Tubes required for this are still available or have been reissued in the SIP VINTAGE LINE.
On Vespa models of the VNA/VNB/VBB series, however, indicators were not included as standard equipment. Consequently, the Steering Head lacks the necessary seating for securing the indicator inner tubes. Retrofitting handlebar-end indicators in these cases therefore requires significantly more technical effort.
The technically simpler solution—fitting the indicators directly to the throttle and Gear Tube—is not permitted for road use, as the indicators rotate when the throttle is opened or switches are operated. Further installation instructions can be found in the Installation Guide.
These products are a perfect fit – SIP TIPS:
For models with a 6-V electrical system, a separate Battery Pack can optionally be used to power the indicators in order to prevent voltage drops.
