The right one for every look: Brake Drum for GRIMECA Disc Brakes on PX and PK Forks.
Disc brake technology is an important upgrade for safety and riding enjoyment on older Vespa models with Drum Brakes. However, the conversion also significantly changes the look of the Fork and front wheel.
Five different looks available
Suitable for 16 mm and 20 mm Axles
Best quality from the original equipment manufacturer
For a long time, the Brake Drum - or more precisely: the Seating for the Brake Disc - was only available in two optical variants: in the 90s star shape of the facelift Model PX '98 and in the controversial "Net" or "Spoke" design. Fortunately, thanks to SIP's cooperation with GRIMECA, this limited choice is now a thing of the past: The Brake Drum for the GRIMECA Disc Brake is available from SIP in several designs.
Original look as it has been since the 50s
With the GRIMECA NT "Classic Look", it is now possible for the first time to ride a Disc Brake with a drum design that matches the classic appearance of the drum brake models. No "star" and no "Spokes" spoil the look. SIP also has this version manufactured directly by GRIMECA. Not only have the Spokes of the earlier version been removed, but care has also been taken to ensure that the cooling fins have the same radius as the standard Brake Drum that has been fitted since the 1950s.
Spoilt for choice
The original Brake Drum of the GRIMECA Replacement Parts Disc Brake has a mesh or spoke pattern. Disc brake kits with this drum are available in various designs: in subtle silver, sporty black or - particularly elegant - in black with a silver mesh pattern.
The star of the 98
Of course there is also the original star look of the Vespa PX MY, '98 and Millennium, also manufactured by GRIMECA. This original replacement is of the highest quality, retains the typical look of these models and allows the use of a Chain Lock.
Technology
The closed drums in original or mesh look are available for both 16 mm and 20 mm Axles. Another improvement since 2019 is the second cut-out for the Valve. This allows rims from all manufacturers to be mounted on these Brake Drum.
Conclusion: The days when a Disc Brake spoiled the look of the Vespa are long gone with these drums.
