More braking power and better looks

With this Brake Calliper, SIP PERFORMANCE has developed an upgrade that makes existing disc brake systems more modern and more powerful. Compared to the standard cast Brake Calliper, the larger piston diameter of 31.5 mm provides more braking power. The system is complemented by GALFER Brake Pads with a larger pad width, which offer a more stable contact surface. Additional inner holes also make bleeding easier. The anodized surface in silver, gold, black, titanium or red also makes the Brake Calliper a visual highlight for custom and performance setups.

Suitable for many Disc Brakes

The Brake Master Cylinder/ Brake Calliper fits perfectly with the PX`98 with 12 mm brake pistons or GRIMECA with 11 mm brake pistons. Semi-hydraulic Disc Brakes such as GRIMECA Classic, NT or PX'98/MY also benefit from this upgrade. Simply replace the existing Brake Calliper with 25/30 mm pistons without having to make any changes to the existing brake system. The Pliers can also be used on PIAGGIO Quartz/SKR Models. To do this, it must be rotated by 180°, the Ventilation Screw moved upwards and the Brake Hose attached at the bottom.

Legal for use on the road

SIP has been successfully verified by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority and is therefore officially authorized to manufacture vehicle components. The SIP PERFORMANCE Brake Callipers 5640 have a general type approval. Since 10/2014, the Brake Callipers have borne the KBA 61358 type mark and can therefore be used legally on German roads.

Conclusion: The Brake Calliper 5640 from SIP PERFORMANCE is a powerful upgrade for existing Disc Brakes and significantly improves the braking effect and appearance.

SIP TIP:

• Use new Brake Fluid. A steel braided Brake Hose provides an even more precise braking feel. If you lose the Ventilation Screw Ball, you will need the Gasket Set.

Tech-TIP Bleeding:

• Turn the Brake Calliper more often when bleeding
• with semi-hydraulic calipers, unhook the Cable so that the full lever travel is available
• Use a bleeding device
• the pads should then be in contact with the Washer
