Clutch Friction Plates for Vespa Engines - Sport and Race EVO for more traction

Clutches are one of, if not the most important component of an Engine and ensure the frictional connection between the Crankshaft and the gearbox. In order to transmit more power, greater friction is required in the clutch: Stronger Springs increase the contact pressure, more linings increase the friction surface.

We offer an extensive range of Clutch Friction Plates, Clutch Springs and complete clutches. Almost all well-known manufacturers are represented in the range - a large selection is available for almost every Vespa Engine. All Clutch Friction Plates can be combined with Reinforcement Springs that match the engine type.

We differentiate between the following Clutch Friction Plates:

Clutch Friction Plates Sport: 4 cork plates, with separating plates and Reinforced Springs. For slightly tuned Engines - a must for anyone fitting a larger Cylinder or Exhaust. The power transmission is improved. D.R. supplies very high-quality pads with Springs that are easy to pull. MALOSSI supplies particularly strong Springs - a popular addition, especially for 210cc Engines.

Clutch Friction Plates Race EVO: 4 plates made from a special carbon mixture, with separating plates and Reinforced Springs. For tuned engines. NEWFREN manufactures these pads exclusively for SIP in a small series with an increased carbon content and therefore particularly good grip. The modulation is noticeably improved and a long service life is achieved. SAE 80W-90 Gearbox Oil is recommended for carbon pads.

Conclusion: A must for every tuning measure.

SIP TIP:

New Woodruff Key, new clutch nut and new Locking Washer are mandatory. Reinforced Springs are recommended as a variation and combination for tuned Engines. Don't forget Gearbox Oil for the overnight clutch lining bath. Use SAE 80W-90 Gearbox Oil for carbon linings. Reinforced Clutch Baskets and Clutch Circlips are a useful addition at high engine speeds. Individual linings are well suited for combinations of different thicknesses. When replacing the Clutch lining, also replacethe Thrust Washer of the clutch.
