Air Intake System in combination with a Spacer for the Carburettor Casing Cap for Vespa Largeframe with SI carburettor.

This component combines a Spacer and Venturi for SI carburettors in one. If you want to get the best possible performance out of a Vespa Largeframe Engine with SI carburettor, there is no getting around two components: an Air Intake System (also known as a "Venturi") for the carburettor and an Airbox or Spacer to provide as much volume as possible for the intake air. Both components can provide a considerable increase in performance on Engines with SI carburettors and are therefore very popular.

Elliptical venturi
Adaptable to different sizes

The Air Intake System is designed so that it merges directly into a Spacer for the Carburettor Casing Cap. The venturi effect locally increases the flow velocity of the intake mixture. The additional volume under the raised Carburettor Casing Cap provides more intake air.

In contrast to the conventional, familiar round cross-sections, this shape ensures that the incoming air is distributed more widely and evenly flat.

Precise, flow-optimized CNC production from aluminium

The SPACETEC Spacer is manufactured entirely from an aluminum block using CNC machining. This ensures maximum precision and an excellent fit.

Flexible size adjustment (22 / 24 / 26 / 28 mm)

The SPACETEC Spacer has a diameter of 23.5 mm as standard and is therefore perfectly matched to the original size of a 24 mm SI carburettor. It can also be used with a 22 mm carburettor by machining the carburettor in the upper area so that it merges cleanly into the venturi. For use with 26 and 28 mm carburettors, lines are drawn on the back of the Air Intake System; the venturi is adapted to the respective carburettor size along these markings.

Optimized design

The position of the Carburettor Casing Cap has been moved 10 mm forward and around 8 mm upwards. This creates more volume and a greater distance to the Frame, which allows the installation of different shock absorber lengths - especially on Models such as VNB, VBB, GL and others.

Attention: The Spacer fits Carburettor Casing with and without separate lubrication. The contour on the underside is designed so that both carburettor casings are reliably sealed. On the top side, we recommend a carburetor sump cover for models with separate lubrication or alternatively an Airbox in the same design.
