CRIMAZ Disc Brake for vintage Vespa models—modern braking performance for classic 10-inch Forks in an elegant, original look.
The brakes on the Vespa Sprint, Rally, T4, GT, GTR, and GL models aren’t exactly known for their powerful performance. There’s plenty of room for improvement, especially on the front end. Until now, a true brake upgrade usually meant switching to a different Fork. That’s effective, but time-consuming, expensive, and significantly alters the look of these vintage classics.
- Modern Disc Brake for classic 10-inch Forks
- The original look is largely preserved
- The original Suspension Arm and Brake Baseplate can still be used
- An elegant solution without a complete fork conversion
The CRIMAZ Disc Brake is the perfect solution for anyone who wants better braking performance without compromising the classic Vespa look. It allows old 10-inch Forks to be retrofitted with modern braking technology.
The original Suspension Arm and Brake Baseplate are retained. Only the Brake Drum is replaced. A Brake Disc, bolted on from the outside, is mounted to it. The Brake Caliper is secured via a Plate that is bolted to the Seating of the original Brake Cam.
To operate the brake, a master cylinder with a Brake Hose is also required. This is not included in the scope of delivery, as different solutions are appropriate depending on the scooter model.
Note: The quality of the paint finish is not always flawless. Scratches may be present. The Brake Drum is only primed for protection.
Conclusion: The CRIMAZ Disc Brake is an elegant way to significantly improve the front brake performance of classic Vespa 10-inch Forks without unnecessarily altering the original look.
