Check the upper and lower Steering Head Bearing in the event of spongy handling or lack of directional stability.

If the scooter does not run straight or is spongy, it is advisable to check the upper and lower Steering Head Bearing. The function can be easily checked with the front wheel off the ground: Place the vehicle on the Centre Stand and move the steering tube including the wheel guide back and forth along the direction of travel. If there is any Game in the Steering Column, either the upper Nut must be tightened or the Bearing must be replaced. The Bearing Shells should also be checked at the same time.

Attention: for models Vespa 125 VNB3-6T/150 VBB 2nd series/VGLB 2nd series the upper bearing shell, the dust cover as well as the lower bearing shell of this bearing kit are not identical to the original parts. Unfortunately, these parts are no longer available for the listed models. However, it is possible to use these parts from our alternative bearing kit.
