Anyone who tunes their Lambretta will soon come up against the problem that there is insufficient space for a larger carburettor behind the Lambretta's side panel. In the past, this problem was solved by simply making a large hole in the cover. This meant that everyone could see and, above all, hear very clearly what was installed there for mixture preparation. Petrol mist was also found on the trouser leg and outside of the panel.
Today, many Lambretta riders like it a little more discreet. Thanks to shorter intake manifolds, like ours, it is also possible to fit large carburettors behind the protective sheet metal. Nevertheless, the space for an air filter remains tight. A remedy for this is intake bellows with a 90° bend. They make it possible to move the air filter vertically upwards, where more space is available. Ramair 62mm or 52mm air filters, for example, can be fitted directly here.
The intake bellows from Casa Performance are designed in such a way that the intake air has the largest possible cross-section available. In combination with the MBD intake manifolds, a Mikuni TMX30 or 35 with these intake bellows and the Ramair air filter fits completely under the side cowl.
SIP-TIP: Order the matching air filter, such as the Ramair (item no. 40383000), at the same time.
