Official statement dated 10/19/026 from Secubix project founder Florian:
Dear supporters,
thank you for your patience and for the trust you have placed in me and Secubix.
I’ve achieved one thing—but failed to achieve another, crucial one.
This story began eight years ago with my own Vespa, which kept getting run over whenever I parked it. I wasn’t going to just accept that. Since then, hundreds of thousands of euros have gone into developing Secubix’s hardware, backend, and App. The working system—which detects parking damage and sends a notification to my cell phone—is right here on the table in front of me.
I’ve accomplished that part.
What I haven’t managed to do is bring the system into mass production and deliver it to you.
Especially over the past year and a half, development and production costs have risen sharply. Production costs alone are now roughly twice as high as originally estimated.
Right up until the end, there were discussions with potential investors and manufacturers in an effort to still get mass production off the ground. Unfortunately, no final financing agreement was reached.
Now the company’s financial resources have been exhausted. Therefore, I must file for bankruptcy on behalf of Parksheriff FlexCo.
What happens next is currently unclear. I don’t know whether the proceedings will result in a takeover or continuation of the business, or whether the company will have to be shut down. Nor can I tell you at this time whether—or to what extent—you will receive a refund.
Once the insolvency proceedings have been opened, you’ll find information on how to file your claims and the applicable deadline in the published insolvency notice (Parksheriff FlexCo). As soon as this information is available, I’ll share it with you here.
Thank you for believing in Secubix and for supporting us on this journey.
Florian
SECUBIX is a video surveillance system initially developed specifically for Vespa. It records the sequence of events and the license plate number in the event of a hit-and-run parking accident.
Designed specifically for Vespa, the SECUBIX parking surveillance system features two wide-angle HD cameras with grayscale Sensors. These enable high-contrast recordings of license plates and the sequence of events, even in low-light conditions. The battery-powered main unit has a built-in SIM Card and transmits the recorded data directly to a smartphone.
- Easy installation
- Reliable Evidence
- Legal video surveillance
- Real-time notifications
The accident video is stored directly on the SECUBIX device and uploaded to the cloud immediately after contact with a vehicle, thanks to the eSIM and LTE modules. A few seconds later, the user receives a link on their smartphone and can view and download the video on the SECUBIX website. To use this feature via cellular data, a monthly subscription is required.
Subscription Models Offered by the Manufacturer
- Pay two years in advance: €8 per month
- Pay one year in advance: €9 per month
- Pay monthly: €12 per month, can be canceled or paused at any time
The App subscription renews automatically upon expiration. It can be canceled in writing no later than one month before the end of the respective term.
Additionally, the user is notified if someone attempts to steal the Exhaust or other Vespa parts. If the entire Vespa is stolen, it can be tracked thanks to the built-in GPS.
SECUBIX complies with the European Union’s strict GDPR regulations and can be used legally.
