Product description

Our Espresso Veloce is a blend of four types of coffee - three Arabica beans and one Robusta bean - with a Robusta content of 30%. The countries of origin of this blend are Guatemala, Colombia, Indonesia and India. The result is a strong, full-bodied espresso with fruity, nutty and chocolaty aromas, very low acidity and an excellent crema.

This espresso for Vespa fans was created in collaboration with the Andechser Kaffeerösterei, just a short and picturesque scooter ride away from the SIP Scootershop. Master roaster Reiner only processes high-quality green coffee whose origin is traceable - the focus is on transparency and fair living conditions for the producers. Highland coffees are used, which grow at altitudes between 1000 and 1800 meters. The higher the coffee cherry ripens, the longer the ripening time and the higher the quality. Harvesting is done by hand and only ripe cherries are picked.

By comparison, industrial coffees usually do not grow at high altitudes, are harvested by machine and often have significantly lower quality standards.

A special feature is the traditional roasting process. Long-term roasting in a small 5 kg drum roaster gives the beans sufficient time to fully develop their aromas. This gentle process ensures an intense flavor profile and makes the espresso particularly easy to digest - even for frequent drinkers.

Roasting parameters at a glance:

  • Roasting temperature: approx. 200 °C
  • Roasting time: 15-18 minutes
  • In comparison: industrial roasting at 400-700 °C in just 2-3 minutes

Buon appetito!
