In addition to Falc, Quattrini and Co., BFA now also brings tuning parts directly from the race track to the store. Behind the three letters are the high-end tuners Fabio Begani, Renato Fancellu and ET3 mastermind Alessandro Graiani - and one thing is clear: these three don't do things by halves. They themselves and the riders they support are regularly at the front in Italian racing series, whether VPI (Vespa Pista Italia), CIA (Campionato Italiano Accelerazione) or POLINI Cup. At the Customshow in Landsberg 2013, the BFA Smallframes brought particularly powerful 48 hp engines to the rollers. Such power needs corresponding components.

The BFA Clutch is the top end of the Flagpole, even for powerful tuning setups. Produced in an exclusive small series, the key components are CNC-milled from solid material. The aluminum Clutch Baseplate has Guidance for up to 16 Springs (8 large and 8 small); 8 Reinforcement Springs are included. Based on the proven Vespa PK XL2 technology, 4 or 5 friction plates made of a special carbon mixture and aluminum separating plates ensure maximum friction surface and reliable torque transmission.
The sintered pads are made from a special mix of materials and have several grooves for oil flow. The improved oil flow increases the thermal load capacity. The thin linings, which are more difficult to compress, keep the required release travel low and ensure that the clutch separates cleanly. As the linings expand less in the heat, the pressure point remains constant and clearly defined. The additional pads ensure that the torque is transmitted much more directly and powerfully. A Spacer for the Clutch Cover is also included, as is a Clutch Puller. The clutch is available as both a 4- and 5-Washers clutch.
2019: Technical updates and new flange connection
The 2019 version differs from its predecessor mainly due to detail updates: the outer basket is slightly lighter, the inner basket has additional spring guides and a thread for a standard Clutch Puller. The material and shape of the components are designed for even greater stability. As an additional variant, the 2019 Clutch is available with a polygon connection instead of a Cone; this can only be combined with the corresponding Input Shaft.
2020: "Top Race" variant
The "Top Race" variant from 2020 differs from the "Top Sport" (2019) in the Washers used and the outer basket. Friction and cut-off wheels are slightly different: The friction disks are covered with green carbon on the 2020 variant. One of the tongues that engage in the outer basket is wider than the others - as with the original clutch, a cut-out in the Clutch Basket is therefore also larger, which makes installation easier. The separating plates are made of high-quality Ergal: 1.5 mm thick, only the ends that engage in the inner basket are 2 mm thick.
