Tubular handlebars for Wideframe: "Lamp down" & VL "Lamp up"
The oldest Vespa models are not equipped with a cast Steering Head, but with a so-called tubular handlebar. While the early Wideframe models still had the headlight on the Mudguard, the headlight and Speedometer on the VL models are already on the Handlebar. X
The Handlebars for the "lamp at the bottom" models, which until now were often only to be found on parts markets with a lot of luck and sometimes at high prices, are available as a very high-quality processed and chrome-plated version from MAURO PASCOLI as well as a cheaper repro version.
The Handlebars for the VL ("lamp on top") are available with a cut-out for the original VL speedometer as well as with an oval cut-out. The SIP Rev Counter from the ET3 models can be inserted into the latter as a special eye-catcher. The VL Handlebars also fit the French ACMA models, but differ in the shape of the Headlight Unit.
All Wideframe Handlebars are already equipped with a gearshift unit, levers and Throttle Grip. With a little tinkering with the Handlebar Stem, tubular handlebars with Headlight Units are also suitable for hot rod custom conversions on largeframe models(Handlebar Stem for Vespa VM/VN, item no. 43583500).
SIP-TIP:
Order new "Vintage" Cable Sleeves and a Rubber Collar for the Gear Changer at the same time.
