Clutch cover, suitable for all Vespa Smallframe models, with toothed drive for the push rod.

The clutch cover for the PK XL2 models is not only popular as an original replacement. It is also ideal for tuned engines in conjunction with their clutches with high actuating forces. The transmission of the movement of the shaft to the push rod takes place inside the XL2 cover via a gearing. This reduces the force required to actuate the clutch compared to conventional clutch covers.

The covers of the PK XL2 could only be fitted to the engines of older Smallframe models with adaptations. Supply of these parts is difficult as they have been out of production for some time.

A smooth-running clutch for all

Several companies have tackled the problem. POLINI and CRIMAZ manufacture clutch covers that incorporate the toothed drive of the XL2 covers and are compatible with both the PK and the older V50/PV brake baseplates. In either case, however, a bearing-mounted pressure plate must be used.
