Speedometer Drive Gears are the connection between the Speedometer Cable and Speedometer and ensure that your speedometer displays the correct speed.
We designate the Speedometer Drive Gears with the models in which they were originally installed. However, on a 40-year-old Vespa, it is often the case that neither the Speedometer, Speedometer Cable nor Speedometer Drive Gear are still in their original condition. To find the right Speedometer Drive Gear for your Model, not only the number of teeth, but also the dimensions of the square of the Speedometer Cable with 1.9 mm or 2.7 mm are important.
Note: We recommend checking the dimensions of the square of the Speedometer Drive Gear installed and the number of teeth of the Speedometer Drive Gear again before ordering.
SIP-TIP:
When fitting the Speedometer Drive Gear, turn the Brake Drum slightly, otherwise it will be pressed flat by the Speedometer Gearing.
