On some shafts, the groove for the crescent-shaped key is cut too deep. As a result, the crescent-shaped key does not protrude and serves no purpose. However, we have no concerns here, as the Woodruff Key is generally not required because no specific position or alignment needs to be ensured. In the absence of more affordable alternatives, the Shaft is nevertheless a viable choice.
