This 150 version was the last to be fitted with 8" wheels. Both wheels now had self-venting cast Brake Drum, which were no longer attached to the Hub with wheel nuts on bolts, but with normal 8 mm bolts. The Mudguard, which was smaller than the VNB, had a new, more angular shape, as did the side bolsters. Decorative Trims made of aluminium were fitted to both cheeks; five slots in the shape of a parallelogram were arranged on the engine cheek. The frame was also used on the Vespa GL at the same time. The Steering Head with a 115 mm Headlight Unit was later also to be used on the Vespa Nuova/Primavera. The Glovebox in the left Side Panels could no longer be opened with a Lever, but was fitted with a Lock that could be operated together with the Steering Lock using the same key. The Brake Drum was now fitted with cooling fins to improve heat dissipation.
The Vespa 150 Super was built unchanged almost half a million times over a period of 14 years, primarily in Indonesia for the Asian market.
The Engine was the same as on the earlier Model VBB2. Instead of a Bakelite housing, the external Ignition Coil was now a new, single wire ignition coil from the FENSA brand.
