Overview PEGASUS
TGB, also known as Taiwan Golden Bee, was originally founded in 1965 as Taiwan Vespa Co. Ltd. to produce Piaggio scooters for the Taiwanese market. in 1978, the company, which has since been renamed Taiwan Golden Bee Co., Ltd, began producing its own vehicles. In addition to manufacturing its own vehicles, TGB is also a supplier of complete CVT systems for well-known brands such as Piaggio and Peugeot.
TGB's products are characterised by neat engineering and design, which has given the company a solid presence in the European market for over two decades, especially in the quad/ATV segment. The company has two production facilities in Taiwan and manufactures most of its own fairing parts, while relying largely on Morini components for cockpits, handlebar controls and engines. With a company capital of around 4 million euros, TGB has made a name for itself as a reliable manufacturer and supplier.
PEGASUS model history
The Pegasus Sky 50 model came to Germany in the early 1990s and remained on the market for around 20 years. It was followed by the weaker Sky 25 version, with importers changing just as regularly as the latest models from Taiwan. Regardless of whether they were called Akros, Corona or R50 - their success on the market was limited. Today, TGB concentrates more on the ATV/quad market, but still has the Express 150 and Bull&t 50 scooter models in its programme.
