VEE RUBBER - The story of a location advantage
Vitorn Sukanjanapong founded the company in 1977. VEE RUBBER was the first tyre manufacturer in Thailand and made use of a location advantage: Access to high-quality raw materials was easy, as Thailand is the largest rubber producer in the world. This circumstance not only affects the quality of the tyres, but also the price, which can be kept low as a result.

VEE RUBBER builds tyres for cars, motorbikes, trucks and scooters. The company not only built a new production facility in Vietnam, but also invested the equivalent of around 90 million euros in its entire own infrastructure in 2013. The monthly output of tyres in the same year was 100,000 units, of which about 70 per cent were exported. So it made sense to open own branches in Europe, South America, Canada and the USA.
Research and development, however, remain in Thailand in order to continue to guarantee the high flexibility at the production site when it comes to realising customer wishes.
