Vespa meeting in Butzbach
Paolo Santamaria writes to us: "The Vespa meeting in Butzbach on 12 July thrilled riders and visitors alike. Already in the morning there was a parade over hilly, winding roads in the neighbourhood. Drone footage shows the Vespa pilots winding through the serpentines like a colourful snake. Even guests from up to 300 kilometres away - including from Hanover and Stuttgart - travelled to the event. We took multiple photos of each driver at several photo points, creating impressive memories of the ride.
The market square in Butzbach filled up in the early afternoon: more than 150 Vespas and several hundred visitors came together to enjoy the exuberant atmosphere with live Italian music and a raffle.
Vespa fans collect for a good cause
The most important thing: 1,000 euros were raised for the Herzenswünsche e.V. association - an amount that, together with a further 9,000 euros collected by companies and private donors, will fulfil special wishes for seriously ill children.
A big thank you goes to SIP Scootershop: the goodie bags with merchandising articles were received with enthusiasm and made for many happy faces.
The Rusty Helmets Vespa Club is continuing its commitment: the next meeting took place in Haiger on 7 September - again in conjunction with a fundraising campaign for the Herzenswünsche association from Münster.
