Scooter Rally Toscano 2026

in 2024, the legendary "Scooter Rally Toscano" on Elba was revived after a 13-year break. This year, it took place for the third time in the new era, traditionally on the beach at Morcone in the south-east of the island. The weekend between April and May is just before the actual start of the season. Even for the Italian sun, this is still relatively early in the year. Although it is already here, it is usually not yet in top form.

in 2026, however, it was particularly kind to the more than 1,000 scooter riders who came to the island. There was uninterrupted sunshine from Thursday to Saturday. It could hardly have been better: perfect conditions for relaxed tours across Elba, along winding coastal roads, past picturesque bays and through this unique mixture of sea, mountains and Mediterranean island life.

The weather was just as ideal for what is just as much a part of a meeting like this: cosy get-togethers. The "Mandel" beach bar, right on the event site, was a wonderful place to spend the weekend. A cold drink in your hand, scooters all around, the sea in front of you, the smell of pizza in the air and the hills of Tuscany in the background. There really is no better way to open the season.

Dealers, soul and a parade

There were also traders' stands on the site where you could find out about new products on the accessories market or browse through various types of scene-related clothing. There was also a small open-air workshop where scooters could be made fit for the journey home. A custom show also took place on Saturday.

A small bar was directly adjacent to a covered dance floor. Various DJs played there during the day throughout the weekend. A small "warm-up" night took place there on Thursday evening. Whereby "warm-up" only describes the atmosphere to a limited extent, because it went full throttle pretty quickly. With the best soul, on an open-air dance floor, on a mild Italian night right on the beach: it was the perfect way to get in the mood for the weekend.

Unfortunately, the organisers had to reschedule the other two nights at short notice. Due to official problems, the evenings could not take place as usual in the "Mandel 2" club in the town. The alternative location was one town away and was more difficult to reach for many visitors, which is why it was less busy than in previous years. Nevertheless, the organisers deserve great praise for organising an alternative so quickly.

Elba, scooters, sun and a whole lot of Europe

A highlight on Saturday, the main day of the event, was the joint parade. Several hundred scooters travelled across the island. The end point was an Aperitivo against a picturesque backdrop: Spritz, pasta and regional delicacies from the Grill - a scooter meeting could hardly get more Italian.

Once again this year, it was noticeable how international the Scooter Rally Toscano has become. Italians, English, Austrians, Germans, Irish, Spanish, Swiss, French, Dutch and these are just some of the nations that were represented on Elba this weekend.

It is no coincidence that this event attracts people from all over Europe. In April, the longing for sun is great. A beach on one of the most beautiful holiday islands in Europe almost seems like a promise. What's more, the whole thing takes place in the motherland of the Vespa and Lambretta. More dolce vita on two small wheels is hardly possible.

40 years of green onions

We really enjoyed the weekend again. Next year, the Green Onions, the organisers of the Scooter Rally Toscano, will be 40 years old. Just enough Tyre for an anniversary event in a class of its own. There certainly seem to be plenty of ideas for an unforgettable Elba 2027.
