SIP Team raft trip Isar August 2019

Created by Ralf Jodl at 15:20 on August 24, 2019

Every year there is a SIP team summer party. Sometimes we go to the high ropes course, then have a barbecue by the river and take a dinghy down the Landsberger Lechwehr. There has also been a wakeboard lift at the quarry pond and a beach volleyball tournament. For the 25th anniversary of SIP Scootershop, however, something special was needed and so an Isar raft was reserved almost a year in advance.

everything is still quiet on the Isar raft

In mid-August 2019, the time had come and the tried-and-tested Schneider bus took us to the starting point in Wolfratshausen. The SIP team, band and, of course, the rafters boarded the rickety vehicle made of thick tree trunks and off we went on a wild ride. The beer was cool, the music resounding and the atmosphere euphoric.

Halfway down the river, the raft docked and we had a delicious lunch at the Gasthof zur Mühle. Then the turbulent second part of the trip began with several slides that were a lot of fun and ensured that nobody was dry - except our raftsmen, but they knew where to stand....

Wet but happy, we arrived at the end of the raft in the south of Munich and were able to watch our raft being dismantled by the raftsmen and taken back to Wolfratshausen by lorry.
