Vespa event in Moutier, Switzerland
What a weekend! On 31 May 2025, the quiet town of Moutier in the Swiss Jura once again became a place of pilgrimage for all fans of classic Vespas and historic vehicles. More than 2,000 visitors flocked to the Quartier de Laives - and we at SIP Scootershop were proud to support this great event as a sponsor.
More than just a meeting - a real "show à l'italienne"
The "Vespas & Véhicules historiques" event took place for the third time - organised by the Amicale Vespa Moutier Events around initiator Luigi Baglivo, who once again managed to bring the Italian lifestyle to the heart of Switzerland. The atmosphere? Full of passion, the smell of petrol and good humour. The grounds were filled with over 400 gleaming scooters, Lambrettas, Fiat 500s and other classic cars - a tribute to the golden era of Italian design and automotive art.
The programme was a real firework display - both literally and figuratively. First and foremost Loris Rosati, five-time Italian tricycle stunt driving champion, who performed amazing driving manoeuvres and acrobatic feats with his Piaggio Ape Evo. Nicola L'Impennatore, the living legend of the Vespa stunt world, took the audience's breath away with his unicycle stunts. And as if that wasn't enough, Hannes Roth raced down the track at over 100 km/h in his motorised bathtub - an official Guinness record holder in action!
Passion that connects
However, the event was not only spectacular, but also deeply characterised by interpersonal relationships. It was about sharing, Screws, marvelling and celebrating together. Clubs from all over Switzerland and from neighbouring countries came together to share their love of Vespa - from old school to custom, from 50 cc to racing setups.
A big thank you goes to the organisers, the 30 or so volunteers and especially to Luigi Baglivo, who put his heart and soul and Italian charm into making this event happen. We are already looking forward to the next meeting - it will be even bigger in 2027! Of course, we will be supporting the event again when the motto is: Viva la Vespa - viva la passione!
