Cylinder Head for the BFA 306 Cylinder from OVERREV.

OVERREV manufactures a Cylinder Head specially developed for the BFA 306 Racing Cylinder.

Compression 12.5:1 with 1.3mm squish edge
Toroid combustion chamber

The central feature of the Cylinder Head is the constant compression ratio with a reduced squish gap. The original BFA 306 Cylinder Head has a compression ratio of 12.5:1 with a squeeze gap of 1.8mm. The OVERREV head has the same compression ratio with a squeeze gap of only 1.3mm. This should ensure better cooling of the piston crown and a better torque curve.

Innovative combustion chamber shape

The head has a toroidal combustion chamber. The Spark Plug is moved further into the center of the combustion chamber to ensure the most uniform combustion possible.

Cooling fins

The cooling fins are slightly flatter than on the original head. This is to create a little more space to the scoop and Side Panels. There are recesses in the outer contour of the cooling fins at the positions of the cylinder screw connection. These facilitate access to the Screws on the cylinder base, even when the head is fitted.

Caution: the Cylinder Head protrudes 3.5mm into the Cylinder. This is approx. 1mm further than the original BFA head. This makes it possible to try out different timing. However, the different height must be compensated for with a head gasket.
