The VMC XL tank offers a capacity of around seven liters and is therefore a significant improvement over standard tanks in terms of the range of a Vespa Smallframe. Especially on long journeys, the higher volume ensures greater independence from refueling stops.

On the other hand, compromises have to be made in terms of storage space: To achieve the larger volume, VMC uses the frame cut-out of the Toolbox, which must be removed before inserting the Tank. This tank is a sensible alternative, especially for powerful scooters with higher fuel consumption, as older tanks often become unusable due to corrosion or damage.
