The company SP Developments LTD from England offers a rear shock absorber with all modern attributes for classic Lambretta Models.

The damping of the Shock Absorber can be adjusted 20-way in the rebound stage and 16-way in the compression stage. The spring preload is infinitely adjustable. The shock absorber has a separate Fluid Reservoir to ensure smooth operation even under extreme conditions.

320mm length

At 320mm, the shock absorber is slightly longer than original Lambretta shock absorbers. The difference to the original dimensions of a series 1-2 is only 5mm. This means that the shock absorber can be installed quite easily. Compared to a Series 3/DL/GP Shock Absorber, however, the one from SP Developments is 20mm longer.

This means that it can only be installed if the Cylinder has sufficient clearance to the Frame. Normally, there is not enough space for this. If you still want to fit this Shock Absorber, you will have to make some more or less complex adjustments. What these are and whether this is possible at all depends very much on the parts used.

However, if you manage to create sufficient installation space and fit the longer shock absorber, the result will be more ground clearance and better lean angle clearance.

Attention: due to the shape of the Fluid Reservoir, adjustments to the Side Panels may be necessary.

Conclusion: high-end technology that raises the suspension to a new level. However, plug and play installation is rarely possible here!
