Product description

Tinted speedometer screens providing a sporty appearance.

The standard Vespa cockpit is relatively unspectacular in appearance, alongside the silvery-coloured speedometer surround its fully-transparent protective screen is not really impressive. If you wish to provide the original speedometer with a little more style, our SIP Style tinted or smoked speedometer sreens cannot be ignored.

Grey or dark-smoked tinting
Exact fit
Suitable for the ORIGINAL PIAGGIO speedometer

The speedometer lenses are available in grey or dark-smoked tinted, but they are transparent enough to read the display for speed, warning lights etc.

They are identical to the originals in both their form and function, but with a noticeably improved appearance. They are also fully compatible with the original PIAGGIO speedometer and their application is a relatively simple procedure, the complications arise while disassembling the steering assembly in order to gain access to the actual speedometer within.

Conclusion: An economically viable and simple possibility to upgrade the appearance of the original PIAGGIO cockpit.

Our recommendations - the SIP-TIP:

If you are prepared to work on the speedometer, then why not also consider our tinted or smoked glass speedometer lenses?
Why not complete the black-out with further colour-coordinated accessories, such as the spoilers, handlebar switch covers, sport levers and/or mirrors?

Mounting information:

In order to remove the speedometer screen, the holding tabs need to be carefully prised away from the screen. These items are fragile and break easily!
Ensure you disassemble the speedometer in a clean, dust-free environment to prevent potential contamination of its internal mechanisms and circuitry. Two pins are provided on the rear of our custom speedometer surrounds. If these pins are not present on the original surround, they can be carefully removed with a pair of pliers before fitting.
