The Gear Selector Rod connects the Selector Box with the Cruciform. During each shift, it positions the Cruciform between the respective gear cogs and thus ensures the frictional connection between the Gear Cog and the Driveshaft. Only ever use the Gear Selector Rod that matches the transmission and - if necessary - the matching Washer. Otherwise the gears may jump out.
