HALCYON Mirrors & Replacement Parts in 60's repro style - Made in Great Britain, in highly polished stainless steel.
The MOD scene is experiencing a strong revival worldwide - and classic 60's details such as mirrors and lamps are simply part of the contemporary Vespa look for many. HALCYON delivers exactly this look: Mirrors, mirror arms and Number Plate Holders in authentic 1960s repro style, manufactured in Great Britain.
The mirrors come from the STADIUM Factory in Caerphilly, which enjoyed a high level of popularity in the British two-wheeler scene back then as well as today. Made from highly polished stainless steel in heavy quality, they represent the typical look of the era. The range extends from handlebar end mirrors and Clamp On Mirrors for Legshields to variants with clamps for tubular handlebars or front Luggage Carriers. There are also versions for attaching to Mirror Rods using clamps.
Conclusion: A harmonious accessory for classic Vespas from the 50s to 70s - particularly suitable for MOD and 60s styles.
A beautiful, contemporary Clamp On Mirror for vintage Vespas—it’s high-quality and will last longer than just a few kilometers of riding. In the past, the well-known Albert Mirror, which was a good fit for the Vespa, was still commonly found at vintage vehicle markets. Today, however, it’s already very rare and sells for several hundred euros.
Together with Tore Sambataro, the “Patina Pope,” we offer a solution that, while not exactly cheap, is certainly the top choice: the “Stadium” mirror from HALCYON, available in both trapezoidal and round versions.
Within the SIP team and on SIP tours, the “Stadium” has proven that it is actually the only Clamp On Mirror for the Legshield whose mounting holds up permanently and whose heavy-duty construction is robust enough to withstand the stresses of Vespa riding over the long term.
In addition, one of our suppliers—himself a passionate Vespa rider—has developed a beautiful, shortened mirror arm that allows these mirrors to blend perfectly and harmoniously into the Vespa’s overall look.
Tore is now taking it a step further by patinating both the mirrors and the arms so that they look like they’re decades-old, period-authentic accessories. Every mirror and every arm is handcrafted and finished “Made in Germany.” Individual mirrors may look slightly different from one another and may vary from the photo.
SIP TIP:
- The short mirror arm 61384750 fits both trapezoidal and round “Stadium” mirrors.
- A good rearview mirror is an active safety feature and a must for responsible group riding!
- Depending on the vehicle’s model year, 1 or 2 rearview mirrors are required by law; if one is missing, this can constitute a serious defect during the annual vehicle inspection.
