A contemporary passive speedometer illumination system, for both Vespa and Lambretta, originating from the sixties. At the time this technology was known as 'Relux' and requires no electrical light fitting. The transparent light-transmitting plastic material is illuminated by the headlight and transmits it along its curved form to the speedometer face. This represents a clever alternative to the unreliable and the, increasingly unavailable, socket bulbs that originally lit up these speedometers.
The body of the light-transmitting section is generously dimensioned and can be plug and play attached to VB and GS 150 headsets, as well as Spanish produced MotoVespa models with squared headlights, along with 150cc models with rounded headlights. The length of the light-transmitter can be easily shortened with a suitable saw and its shape remodelled using a hot-air gun. There is an opening located at its top, allowing attachment to the headlamp ring using a countersunk bolt. This allows the light-transmitters secure and flush mounting to almost every model of vintage Vespa and Lambretta scooter.
Available in three different colours: Yellow, green and orange.
Conclusion: An original stylish eye-catcher – straight from the sixties with a genuine advantage in the darker hours!
