Daily, parts from original manufacturers such as PIAGGIO or OEM are taken out of production. This means there is no other alternative to used parts if you need a missing disk, clip or bracket. Nerve wracking and time consuming at the least, trying to run down those little missing necessary parts.
That's why we decided to produce a number of parts in high quality under the name SIP Spare Parts. Our goal is to get stranded Vespas needing essential small parts back on the road. A major job for small parts ...
The Selector Arm is an essential component of the gearshift mechanism. While older 50 cc models are operated with two shift cables, the PK50 XL/FL/HP/XL2/PK125 N/XL2 models use a single-cable system in which shifting is activated via a single shift cable. This allows for high precision when switching and eliminates the need for time-consuming adjustment of the shift cables.
Since the old V50/PK engines are becoming increasingly rare, small-frame riders are increasingly turning to PK XL2 engines. We are now having the XL2 Selector Arm remanufactured in new molds using high-quality materials. This guarantees a precision-engineered replacement part of outstanding quality.
It’s not just XL2 riders who appreciate the advantages of a single-pull shifter. High-end tuners like BFA also use XL2 components whenever possible.
To install a PK XL2 engine in a V50-125/PV/ET3/PK/S/XL, a Conversion Kit for the gearshift is required. This allows the XL2 engine to be controlled using the two existing Bowden cables, eliminating the need for a complex conversion to a shift cable. When paired with handlebars that feature the appropriate seating for the XL2’s shift cable—such as the PX or PK XL2—even older 50cc models can take advantage of this advanced cable-retraction technology.
These products are a perfect fit – SIP TIPS:
- Order the Conversion Kit at the same time.
- Don’t forgetthe gear cables, as well as the barrel and Cable Nipples!
