Product description

CNC-milled Selector Fork set with linkage and Rocker Switch for Vespa Smallframe Models.

The Selector Fork on Vespa small-frame models transmits the movement required for gear changes from the Steering Head to the Gear Selector. The more precisely it is manufactured, the more accurately the shift commands are transmitted to the transmission.

  • CNC-machined Selector Fork
  • Rocker Switch connected to the shaft via a square shaft
  • Double O-Ring for reliable sealing

The CNC-machined Selector Fork is designed for exceptional precision and stability. The shift stones are positioned cleanly within the Gear Selector and move without torsional distortion.

Tight and secure connection to the Rocker Switch

The major weak point of the mechanism is the Shaft, which transmits the movement of the Cable pulls from outside the Crankcase to the Selector Fork inside the Casing. The shaft runs inside the aluminum crankcase, is sealed by an O-Ring, and is forcefully pressed into its guidance during every shift. This can lead to leaks at the shaft, which require the engine to be opened for repair. In addition, the shaft is originally connected to the Selector Fork via a tapered Pin. This is fiddly to install and often does not hold securely.

With this kit, the shaft is positively locked to the Rocker Switch via a square profile and secured from below with a Screw. Sealing is provided by two O-Rings instead of just one.

Two versions available

  • Version with round PK V-Belt Pulley and matching gear ratio
  • Version with a straight V-Belt Pulley and Spring

Conclusion: Precise shifting, a secure seal, and a stable connection make this set a high-quality solution for Vespa small-frame transmissions.
