Unlike the original Crankshaft, a Racing Crankshaft has a significantly longer intake phase. This increases the degree of filling. The crankshaft journals are aerodynamically optimized and polished. This reduces turbulence and flow disruptions. A polished knife-type connecting rod and a lower connecting rod bearing made of silver meet the highest standards. All crankshafts are shipped with upper connecting rod bearings.

The thicker—and thus more stable—Cone is also recommended when used in combination with a Racing Cylinder. For high-revving engines equipped with high-performance cylinders or very lightweight flywheels, the ETS shaft should be installed. This completely eliminates the risk of the crankshaft stub breaking off. In V50/PV/ET3/PK crankcases, a conversion bearing and the corresponding Oil Seal are then required.

Additional lubrication holes in the upper connecting rod eye and lubrication slots in the lower connecting rod eye provide better lubrication, resulting in greater stability and enabling higher RPMs.
