Brake Discs for Vespa - replace before it gets critical
As soon as the Brake Disc shows the first signs of wear, it should definitely be replaced. This does not only depend on the mileage: Extreme temperature changes (hard braking, rapid cooling) can also lead to cracks or scoring. It is important that the surface of the Washer remains even and uniform.
A large selection of Brake Discs is available for Vespa models. All Washers measure Ø 200 / 96.5-97 mm and have a 5-hole mounting. For the standard Brake Discs, you have the choice between RMS and PIAGGIO.
Highlights for Race Brake Discs
GALFER Wave: The special "Wave" shape dissipates heat significantly better, prevents the brake system from overheating and optimizes deceleration. The "Extreme" offers even more brutal deceleration values and a particularly elegant look. The milled grooves ensure very powerful braking performance - but also increase pad wear. We recommend sintered brake pads for good braking performance and low wear.
POLINI RACE/ROAD and VMC: In cooperation with the brake manufacturer Braking, a 5-fold floating, laser-cut wave brake disc was developed - perfect in combination with Race Brake Pads. The Road version has noise-damping Springs. Caution: Some cut-outs must be made on the Brake Drum so that the Bushes of the Washer do not rest on it and can Suspension Arm freely.
MALOSSI WHOOP: Radical design made of stainless steel, strong initial braking effect and high heat dissipation capacity thanks to large surface area. No deformation due to heat-induced expansion, good self-cleaning of Washer and pad - for all weather and terrain conditions.
CRIMAZ: Stainless steel, refined under vacuum - very high quality and precisely manufactured.
Caution with floating Washers
Due to the different height of the floaters, floating Brake Discs only fit to a limited extent in conjunction with GRIMECA Disc Brakes. The clearance to the Fork and Frame Parts should be checked before use.
Conclusion: Race Brake Discs make the front tire smoke.
