Diaphragm intake manifold with improved flow and larger passage for CASA PERFORMANCE 333 Sledge Hammer and SIP-BFA 325 engines from FC SOLUTION.

Both the Sledge Hammer 333 and the SIP-BFA 325 are among the most powerful engines on the market and are characterized by a touring-friendly wide, high-torque speed range.

Only the position of the diaphragm intake limits the possibilities of these engines. The mixture finds its way into the cylinder via the engine housing. This position has many advantages, but on a Lambretta the installation space above the crankcase is very limited. As a result, the space for the diaphragm is also very tight and forms a bottleneck for the performance of the engine.

The solution from FC SOLUTION

At the request of SIP, the diaphragm specialist FC SOLUTION took on the problem. The result is impressive: around 2 hp more across the band, from the starting speed to beyond the maximum power. Tested on both a Sledge Hammer engine and a SIP-BFA 325.

The intake manifold has a diameter of 32 mm and thus allows the use of larger carburetors than with the original intake manifold of these engine cases. The kit includes diaphragm, diaphragm box and intake manifold. Only the connecting rubber must be ordered separately, depending on the carburetor used.

All parts of the kit are produced using the 3D printing process. The material used is particularly stable and resistant to heat and petrol. 3D printing also enables streamlined shapes with clean transitions that cannot easily be achieved with casting or CNC production.

Conclusion: A very nice performance update: it improves performance exactly where you need it most - in the pre-reso range and at low engine speeds.
