Adapter kit from CRIMAZ for mounting a flywheel with a 20 mm Cone on a Vespa Smallframe Crankshaft with a 19 mm Cone.

The crankshafts of Vespa Smallframe models were available with two different cones for the fan blade mount: 19 and 20 mm. Early models were equipped with the smaller Cone, while the version with the larger diameter was intended to provide later models with greater stability.

Today, some flywheels with a 19 mm Cone are hard to come by. Upgrading to a better 12-V electrical system is also often easier and more cost-effective with a 20 mm Cone. Until now, however, this required replacing the crankshaft in order to install a flywheel with a 20-mm Cone. This is an effort that is rarely worth the trouble and one that many Vespa Smallframe riders shy away from.

CRIMAZ has come up with a special solution to this problem. The adaptor makes it possible to mount a flywheel with a 20 mm cone on a crankshaft with a 19 mm cone. The Conversion Kit compensates for the difference in diameter and includes a larger Woodruff Key that helps position the flywheel correctly.
