CARBONE HTR shock absorbers - racing performance, precise handling and high-quality workmanship, not just for the racetrack.
For decades, the name CARBONE has stood for solid shock absorbers in the scooter and scooter sector - often the first choice when looking for a sensible replica of the original shock absorbers. With the HiTech series, the manufacturer also offers very good shock absorber systems for sporty riders. CARBONE offers the highest configuration level with the HTR series: maximum adjustment options at racing level.
- Lightweight construction like in racing
- Stepless adjustment of the preload
- Adjustable from compression to rebound
- High riding stability and control
From flight mode to the race track
In order to achieve high load-bearing capacity and low weight at the same time, CARBONE uses 7075 aluminum for the lower mount, which is preferably used in the aerospace industry and is also known to many as ERGAL. In the rear version, an angled damper mount ensures sufficient space to the engine housing.
The ideal preload
An infinitely variable solution is crucial for optimum adjustment of the spring preload. This is where the coilover suspension comes into play: Using freely positionable adjusting nuts and the enclosed tool, the preload can be precisely adapted to the respective conditions.
Controlled dipping - the compression damping
All CARBONE HTR shocks have an adjustment screw on the reservoir that can be used to regulate the compression damping. This can be used to influence the compression speed: The softer the setting, the more comfortable; the firmer, the less compression and the more stable the suspension.
Back on the road - the rebound damping
Thanks to the additional adjustable rebound stage above the piston rod, the rebound of the shock absorber can be specifically influenced. A suitable rebound setting is important to ensure that a compressed wheel regains contact with the ground as quickly as possible. However, if it is set too quickly, rebound can occur, which impairs stability.
More control and riding stability
It's all about the right set-up - and this is where the numerous adjustment options of the CARBONE HTR shock absorbers really come into their own. The special tool supplied saves you having to search for the right wrenches. For tough racing use, CARBONE relies on a generously dimensioned piston rod with a diameter of 14 mm, which enables greater stiffness. The clean anodized finish in plain black is weather-resistant and rounds off the overall look.
Note: Presumably due to its size, the small smallframe damper does not have an adjustable rebound. This should be taken into account when making your choice.
Conclusion: With these shock absorbers, you are well prepared for racetracks and different surfaces.
