Cable maintenance should be carried out regularly. The effort involved is manageable and can be done quickly with the right lubricant. However, simple oils can easily resinify and hinder rather than support the Cable. Contact sprays with suitable properties, e.g. WD-40 or SONAX SX90, are very suitable thanks to their excellent penetrating properties.

Caution: These sprays are not suitable for PTFE covers. PTFE-based Dry Lubricants are recommended for this purpose. The inside of a Cover and the Cable itself can be cleaned well with Brake Cleaner. The BUZZETTI cable lubricator is ideal for regreasing: easy to use, very good results.
