Lambretta Primary Cogs. Available including 15 to 23 cog teeth, produced by a variety of manufacturers.

The Lambretta transmission makes use of a duplex chain between the crankshaft and the primary cog located on the clutch to transfer the motors power to the rest of the gearbox. We have these cogs available in various sizes from producers such as F.A. ITALIA, MEC EUR & CASA PERFORMANCE. With the possible exception of the very tall geared TV 200, it is recommended to retain the original primary cog size on all standard-tuned engines. Stronger motors require an individual ratio to be determined and included, according to the requirements of the project.

Larger primary cogs can make the use of a longer duplex chain necessary and a custom aftermarket chain tensioner, such as the version produced by MMW (#93154000) allowing sufficient adjustment for safe chain guidance.
