- For your daily commute or just for cruising
Do you want to treat yourself to an e-scooter but are having a hard time choosing from the range of products on the market? Having trouble differentiating the products from one another and can’t decide which the best e-scooter for you is? To help you choose, we have categorised all the e-kick scooters for you. We have looked at and evaluated all the important criteria for each possible use. For example, we have looked at the weight, range, size when folded, engine performance, and so on. The most important thing to consider is what you will mainly use your new scooter for.
E-scooter – the different designs
The world of e-scooters is colourful and varied. Some countries have restrictions on these types of vehicles. In our category, which covers scooters that can reach speeds of up to 20 km/h, we have vehicles that are certified in accordance with the eKFV [German Personal Light Electric Vehicles Regulation] These are authorised for use on German roads and should also be authorised for use in the same way in most countries in Europe, but it’s best to check which regulations apply in your country beforehand. In Germany and Switzerland, the maximum speed permitted is 20 km/h, but in Austria e-scooters can have a top speed of 25 km/h. There are also technical guidelines that apply in each country that the scooters must fulfil (see our chapter on the eKFV for more information).
