Speed sensor for SIP PERFORMANCE Rev Counter on Vespa Smallframe Models. Precise speed measurement without Speedometer Cable.

The space in the Handlebar of a Vespa V50 Roundlight is very limited. In order to still be able to integrate sufficient electronics into the SIP PERFORMANCE Rev Counter for this Model, the connection for the Speedometer Cable was removed and a separate speed sensor was developed.

This Speed Sensor can be used on all classic Smallframe Models. It is already included with the SIP PERFORMANCE Rev Counter V50 Round Light.

The speed sensor is mounted on the Steering Column or Suspension Arm instead of the Speedometer Drive Gear and picks up the signal from the Speedometer Drive Gear. The enclosed Wire is connected to the Sensor in a watertight manner. It is simply pulled through the Steering Column and connected to the Rev Counter. As a result, the pick-up is very precise and independent of speedometer shaft breakages.
