December 2015: Donation to the ARCHE Landsberg
We here at the SIP Scootershop have once again donated funds to the people at the local 'ARCHE LANDSBERG', within the framework of the 'SIP AID' charitable program. It has almost become a tradition that some of our team visit the facility in order to present the annual cheque. Our colleagues were heartily welcomed into the communal area, enjoying the home-baked cakes and traditional pretzels. They were also brought up-to-date on the current activities and everyday experiences of the people who live there, followed by a guided tour through the whole house.
In the meantime most of the current inhabitants had returned from work, slowly filling the large communal lounge area. They were all very pleased to meet the SIP team members and gratefully received the € 3.000 cheque.
The money will be put to good use financing the renovation of the communal rooms.
The afternoon proved a success with excellent catering, interesting impressions and the feeling to have made people happy has certainly improved the overall Yuletide cheer!

Additionally toys and playthings can be purchased to equip the very popular playgroups from the remaining funds. While they were visiting the centre – at Spöttinger Strasse in Landsberg - Martina Hagenmüller, Ronny Berger and Julia Jarczok (from the left) were impressed by the open facilities at the SOS family centre and citizens advice bureaux. They even offer free German language courses! The 'MiniMax SOS' family day-centre shares similar humble origins with the SIP Scootershop, as both organisations started out relatively small to grow and expand to their present-day sizes. The mail-order specialists from Landsberg am Lech have been actively supporting the Ammersee – Lech 'SOS Kids Village' facility for ten years now.

July 2015: SIP Scootershop supports hospital in Cameroon
In 2014 we have supported for the first time the Landsberg doctor Dr. Gatz in his hospital project in Cameroon. We did that with what we can do quite well: logistics. We helped him to load discarded hospital beds, hospital equipment, appliances and much more into a sea container, cleared customs and shipped to Cameroon. Total cost € 8,000. About his project we love his individual initiative, personal commitment, his passion and above all it´s immediate effect without the risk of money getting lost in obscure channels.
The second project in July 2015 was a much needed new ultrasound made possible to purchase by a donation from us about € 3,000.

January 2014 – SIP Scootershop supports Humanitarian Aid reg. Ch.
One of the projects of Humanitarian Aid reg. Ch. is the reconstruction of a hospital in Ndoungue, Cameroon and its development into a reference center. The project manager Dr. med. Soeren Gatz used to work as an assistant medical director at the Klinikum Landsberg am Lech. In Ndoungue, the project is led by Dr. François Marie Djomou Touomo, who visited Germany in January and shared deep insights into the project with us.
SIP Scootershop decided to support Humanitarian Aid reg. Ch. not only financially (5.500 €), but also with manpower and logistics. Urgently needed material – such as hospital beds, mattresses, medical instruments and clothes - had to be shipped to Cameroon. No sooner said than done. On Friday, 17 Jan 2014 a SIP delegation helped to load the container and prepare it for the shipment to West Africa.

December 2013 – SIP Scootershop donates 3.000 € to the ARCHE
As in the previous years, the Landsberg based mail order specialist for scooter parts SIP Scootershop GmbH has donated € 3000.- to the ARCHE Landsberg. On Dec 17, 4 members of the SIP staff paid a visit to the flat sharing community in Landsberg to hand over the cheque. Here’s a short report: „When we arrived at the ARCHE in the afternoon, a richly laden coffee table was waiting for us. We had the opportunity to chat with residents and members of staff and were provided with interesting insights into the work and history of the organization. The ARCHE is a global organization that installs communities of disabled persons. After we had finished our coffee and cake, some of the residents played on their instruments and performed an Indian song for us. Then we were shown around the house and the rooms of the residents. We were very impressed with the conception of the ARCH, as well as with the amazing cooperation between staff, volunteers and residents.“

September 2005 – – SIP Scootershop übergibt 5000-€-Spende:
Starting in spring 2005, Landsberg-based mailorder shop for Vespa and scooter spare parts SIP Scootershop has donated € 1,- to SOS-Kinderdorf Germany [child care organization] for every online order it received. By now, a considerable amount of € 5,000 has accumulated and could be handed over to the SOS-Kinderdorf Germany.
The company has been actively supporting community projects for years – now it had decided to give a helping hand to the SOS-Kinderdorf project. According to the two owners of the company, Ralf Jodl and Alexander Barth, this decision was based on the fact that SOS-Kinderdorf provides a home for many young people, and the youth is prominently represented among the scooter company’s clients. Moreover, as Jodl pointed out while the donation was presented, SOS-Kinderdorf is a community project that is active in all parts of the world – and by now lots of orders for spare parts are received from abroad.
The owners both agreed that “[we] are lucky enough to live in a stable and secure personal environment – we are well off and would like to share this good fortune with others who have to fight harder for their well-being”. According to SOS-Kinderdorf area manager Christoph Rublack the amount will be used to continue the upcoming extension of a family house: “This considerable investment can only be sustained with the help of both individuals as well as companies that offer financial support”. Within the converted family house, which is to be completed as of mid-2006, six children, who are not able to live with their real parents, will live together as a family with a SOS-Kinderdorf mother. Rublack gave sincere thanks to the donators for their commitment while they, in turn, decided to even extend the help: plans are being drawn up to carry on the support project on a permanent basis. SIP Scootershop has also featured SOS-Kinderdorf on its website.
