The Voltage Regulator protects your electrical system from harmful power surges, prevents bulbs blowing and makes sure that the battery is charged while the motor is running and also not to discharge when it is not. Due to the high operating temperatures created by this device it is known to fail occasionally and should, when flickering lights and failing bulbs start to become apparent, be replaced with a new item as quickly as possible.
