This product fits on almost all models
- input: 12-30 Volt AC/DC; output: 12-15 Volt DC; capacity 6 watt
Product description
Many cockpit display instruments require a constant 12 V current to operate correctly. Due to the fact that most VESPA scooters are not originally equipped with a suitable electrical system, including both battery and a voltage regulator, KOSO have developed and produced this AC/DC converter/voltage regulator unit.
First and foremost this voltage regulator is meant to supply a regular and reliable Direct Current for the safe and enduring use of KOSO cockpit instrumentation, but can also be utilised as an AC/DC converter, for scooter models without a battery as part of it's original electrical system, to power various other instruments such as navigator units and mobile phones for example. This unit can be used to convert a 12-30 Volt AC/DC electrical supply, created by your existing system, to a 12-15 Volt supply with a maximum power output of 6 Watts.
If connected as follows it can be employed as a direct replacement to the original AC/DC voltage converter for the VESPA PX and PK model ranges. All connections are from the voltage regulator unit to your wiring loom. Black > Black, Red > Green/Grey, Brown > Green/Black (to the horn), Black > Green/Black (from the horn).
Conclusion: Can be used on almost all VESPA models with an AC based electrical system without a battery.
