Variator Rollers POLINI 23x18 mm 13g
- 6 pcs
Product description
The main role in tuning a scooter variomatic is weight. Rule of thumb: the lighter your roll sets, the more rpm‘s are needed to push the rolls outwards through centrifugal motion to set gear change in motion. Heavier rolls need lower rpm‘s to start this process. That means if your scooter has lighter rolls it will need higher rpm‘s to start moving. Heavier rolls allow you to start moving at lower rpm‘s.
Each pilot will have to find out which level of rpm‘s is right for them. A range of factors deal in this decision: degree of tuning, driver‘s weight, which weight (of rolls) are optimal, etc. Knowing the glut of inadequate material on the market, we can only recommend vario rolls from renowned firms POLINI and MALOSSI. Their products are manufactured under exacting standards, are of highest quality and are durable - and still remain affordable!
Here the most common sizes:
Engine type: MINARELLI 15x12, MORINI 17x12/KYMCO/PEUGEOT/HONDA/PIAGGIO/GILERA -> `98 16x13, PIAGGIO/GILERA `98-> 19x15,5
Sport variators: POLINI/MALOSSI 16x13, HEBO 17x12/TOP PERFORMANCE 15x12
SIP-TIP! By changing variator rolls, every scooter can be tuned exactly to it‘s motor performance or driving conditions. What you should notice: the more aggressive your motor is tuned, the more sensitive it reacts to weight variations in the rolls. Be careful not to work with weights that are too varied! Remember: exact vario tuning is really necessary so your motor doesn‘t waste it‘s performance in unnecessary rpm‘s (too light weights) or through too early gear changes (too heavy weights) which won‘t get you any acceleration.
